Who is Tomi?
I have a degree in Information and Communications Technology (Software Engineering), and I have built my career working as a software developer and software architect. Gaming and technology have been a part of my life since my youth, going all the way back to the Amiga 500 and 8-bit Nintendo. I have been creating games for computers as a hobby since I was a young boy, and later I also started developing games for mobile devices.
I have worked with children and young people, as well as people with different support needs, in various teaching and guidance roles. I have also worked with adults in the fields of IT, music and communications. Throughout my career, I have naturally moved between working with technology and working with people, as both are equally important to me.
What interests me most about technology and games is how they can be used to benefit people and create something genuinely useful, inspiring and enjoyable. A great app or game is at its best when it serves people and gives them an opportunity to create, learn or experience something new.
I enjoy helping children discover their own inner spark and encouraging them to turn their ideas and visions into reality. I am calm, approachable and supportive by nature.
