Who is Shirin?

Shirin is a Game Educator and Birthday Party Host at School of Gaming who loves games, creativity, and bringing people together through gaming. Minecraft building and adventures are especially close to her heart, and she probably has far too many virtual dogs in the game, although Shirin herself would argue that you can never have too many dogs.

In her free time, Shirin enjoys playing a wide variety of games across different platforms and loves trying out all kinds of new games. Music and rhythm games are particular favourites of hers, and one of her favourite ways to play is Beat Saber in virtual reality. Music is also a big part of Shirin’s life outside gaming, as she plays the electric bass.

At School of Gaming, Shirin works as a Game Educator and Birthday Party Host. She hosts Minecraft-themed birthday parties and leads summer, autumn, and winter camps. She has also been involved in organising and running Pelipaku gaming events across Finland. From time to time, Shirin also creates content for School of Gaming’s social media, so you might spot her there every now and then!

As a Game Educator, Shirin believes it is important that every player feels welcome and has the opportunity to participate in their own way. She enjoys helping, encouraging others, and coming up with new ways to play and bring ideas to life together. The best part of her job is seeing players get excited about their own projects, learn from one another, and, above all, have fun together.
